Joan Hamilton has attended both York University and the
University of Wisconsin to study Psychology and Teaching Business Education.
During
the past 25 years, she has worked as an executive assistant to the President
and Vice-President of a Toronto Investment Dealer; she has also worked
as a legal assistant to an oil company’s legal counsel, as well
as to a senior partner in a prominent Toronto law firm. In these positions,
she provided a full range of business office support. Her responsibilities
included all comprehensive office procedures, producing correspondence,
transcriptions/dictation, and presentations, together with minute-taking.
As a result of her experience with senior management, Joan has developed
exceptionally strong business communication skills and has been certified
to operate in a technical business environment which procedures she has
also taught at the community college level. She has worked closely with
property managers and condominium boards of directors and is the author
of the booklet, The Condominium Corporation’s Board of Directors’
Minute Book.
Marie Croswell has had 32 years of experience as a secretary and administrative assistant with the Provincial Government of Ontario.
She
gave support to mechanical, welding and civil engineers, property and real
estate agents, and lab technicians. Her responsibilities included the production
of all correspondence; namely, letters, memos, and reports. Marie also specialized in compiling and processing charts, graphs, specialty materials for official speeches, as well as legal documents.
As a result of her experience with senior management and her absolute reliability, Marie had recently supported senior partners in a prominent Toronto law firm on a part-time basis where her extensive experience with all aspects of electronically automated office procedures was commendable.
